Come along to our events

Organise Aotearoa holds events around the country. These events include hui, protests, direct action, hikoi, and social gatherings. Organise Aotearoa believes fundamentally in people power. We know that in order to achieve our goals, we need to organise and mobilise as many people as we can. One of the most important ways you can lend your support to Organise Aotearoa is to come along to events about issues you care about and bring your whānau and friends with you.

Become a member

The best way to get involved in Organise Aotearoa is to become a member. By becoming a member, you can be involved in all the important decisions Organise Aotearoa makes. You will also be given the opportunity to take part in our campaigns and our solidarity work with other organisations. If you’re new to politics, we’ll also help you upskill yourself so you can organise your community on issues you care about. Become a member here.

Join a branch

Our branches are places for action as well as discussion. We get our communities organised through our branches and coordinate our campaigns and actions. We also have all of our important political discussions in our branch meetings, where we can talk through complex ideas with face-to-face kōrero. If you’re a member of Organise Aotearoa, we encourage you to join your local branch. If there isn’t a branch in your area yet, we encourage you to form one.

We currently have branches in Auckland and Wellington. If you want to join the Auckland Branch, contact Aitor at auckland@organiseaotearoa.nz, for Wellington, contact Mirky at wellington@organiseaotearoa.nz and if you’re keen to start a new branch, contact James at nationalsecretary@organiseaotearoa.nz
